Band finishes the Summer with a flourish!

After a Summer of rather mixed weather, the Band finished their Summer Season with three concerts in September where the weather was at last kind. A good crowd enjoyed the performance in The Memorial Gardens at Hornsea on the first Sunday of September. The following weekend the Band moved on to Filey. A very large audience, including civic representatives from Filey and other Yorkshire towns, enjoyed a superb concert on a hot summer day at the Bandstand. The Summer Season concluded on Saturday 15th with an accomplished performance at the Harrogate Flower Show where it was another fine day with a large, enthusiastic audience. A busy end to an excellent season under the baton of new Musical Director – Ian Scott.

The Band is already working hard in preparation for the Autumn/Winter Season. New players are joining the band and a lot of new and challenging pieces are being rehearsed. The first concert of the new season will be at All Saints’ Church, South Cave on November 16th.
